They surely guzzle down that food and they do not like uninvited company especially if they don't bring food.
I put a pond in my garden as part of a make over with new homebase garden furniture and new patio furniture, a group of ducks moved in a couple of weeks ago and they are always hungry, as soon as they see me they heads towards me expecting to be fed.
Great story you got here. It would be great to read a bit more concerning this topic. Thanks for sharing that information.
